i own a 88 xj and i am just getting started on it all i have done is a pussy ass 3" lift and some 31" kumo a/ts raped around 15x8" crager rock-crawlers and a home made rear bumper i plan to make a matching front bumper , but my questing is are leaf springs or coils better because i had planed to go leafs all around to make it easy to lift but now i am thinking it would be better to go coils for more flex . i need input.

Coil springs are the best way to go, although the lift as a whole will cost more your ride will be far superior to a leaf sprung vehicle. and depending on what you are planning on doing wih it (rock crawling, trails etc...) you will have better traction because you will have your tires planted firmly on the ground, not spinning in the air.
