Jeep Cherokees (Jeeps In General) were not designed with just road use in mind, if they were they would have rack and pinion steering. They don't so the allignment is never perfect, thats fine and great for off road because if you're not a stupid redneck that likes to get stuck you realize that you don't drive in a straight line when you go through loose sand, mud, clay, etc... This isn't a great steering setup for the road though.
