Hi
I parked my 97 Grand Cherokee up one weekend when i next started it the following problems begun.
shaky Idle normally hunting from cold
very hesitant to the point of violent bucking when trying to drive when cold/first started
Once warm the major bucking & hunting seems to go but it still hesitates when accelerating on petrol (lpg converted).
On lpg the car runs fine.
the only problems that remain on both lpg & petrol are:
shaky Idle
when the auto gearbox changes up occasionaly it slips for a moment as if the clutch is slipping but it doesnt have one.
all of these problems came about all at once which is the odd factor.
The car has had a full service and the below:
Oil & filter
Plugs (bosch lpg friendly ones)
Plug Leads - tried new standard ones also
Cleaned the throttle body
Removed and cleaned the idle control valve
removed and inspected Throttle position sensor
Cleaned and inspected rotor arm
Fresh tank of fuel and fuel system cleaner
new o2 sensor in augus (upstream)
I have to warm the car up on petrol and so this is an absolute nightmare to drive and im reluctant to drive it when it is hesitating incase of running lean etc.
The only solice is that if you accelerate very very slowly on petrol it doesnt buck.
Bearing in mind it only surfaces really on petrol and not on gas im starting to think it is a fuel related problem and not things such as - tps, idle control, cat converter etc and i think it may be fuel pump/injectors although im not sure.
Pleaese help!!
